Privacy Policy
Effective Date: November 21, 2023 • Last Updated: October 2026
Welcome to Mount Masters! This Privacy Policy is designed to inform you about our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information that we may receive through our website, mountmasters.ca (the "Site"). By using our Site, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy.
1Information We Collect
1.1 Personal Information: When you contact us through our website, request a quote, or email us at info@mountmasters.ca, we may collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, service address, unit number, and installation specifications.
1.2 Usage Data: We may automatically collect information on how the Site is accessed and used, including your IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, and pages visited.
2How We Use Your Information
2.1 Service Provision: We use the information collected to provide, schedule, quote, and improve our TV mounting, sound bar installation, home entertainment, and furniture assembly services.
2.2 Communication: We may use your contact information to respond to your inquiries, provide quote estimates, confirm appointment times, send installation updates, and communicate about our services.
3Data Sharing
3.1 Third-Party Service Providers: We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers (such as scheduling, CRM, payment processors, and analytics platforms) strictly for the purpose of providing and improving our services.
3.2 Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests from public authorities or law enforcement.
3.3 SMS & Mobile Information Sharing: No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
4SMS Consent and Communications
4.1 Voluntary Opt-In: Mount Masters sends text messages (SMS) only to customers who voluntarily opt in. Consent is collected through two separate, optional checkboxes on our quote request form. Neither checkbox is preselected, and providing your phone number alone does not constitute consent to receive SMS messages. You may request a quote without consenting to either category.
4.2 Marketing vs. Non-Marketing Consent: We distinguish between two categories of SMS consent:
- Non-Marketing Messages: Transactional messages regarding your quote requests, appointment confirmations, scheduling, and service updates.
- Marketing Messages: Promotional messages about promotions, special offers, and new services.
You may consent to one category without consenting to the other. Each consent choice is recorded separately and independently.
4.3 Information Collected at Opt-In: When you opt in, we record your mobile phone number, your consent choice for each category (Consented or Not Consented), the date and time of consent, and the version of the consent wording shown to you at the time.
4.4 How Consent Is Used and Recorded: Your consent selections are stored as custom fields in our customer relationship management (CRM) system and associated with your contact record. We use these records to ensure SMS messages are sent only to customers who have consented to the relevant category, and to honor opt-out requests.
4.5 Withdrawing Consent (STOP): You may withdraw your SMS consent at any time by replying STOP to any message from Mount Masters. After opting out, you will receive no further SMS messages from us, except where a single confirmation of your opt-out is required. Opting out of non-marketing messages may affect our ability to confirm appointments or provide service updates.
4.6 Requesting Assistance (HELP): If you need help with SMS messages, reply HELP to any message from Mount Masters for assistance. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply.
4.7 No Sharing of Consent Data: SMS consent information and mobile opt-in data are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support of our services, such as customer service, is permitted.
5Cookies and Tracking Technologies
5.1 Technologies We Use: Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to understand how visitors use the Site, measure the effectiveness of our advertising, and improve our services. The specific technologies in use are:
- Google Ads (gtag.js): We use Google's advertising tag (account AW-11420381636) to measure ad conversions, such as quote form submissions and phone call clicks. It may set cookies (e.g.,
_ga) and collect your IP address, browser type, device information, and interaction data to attribute conversions to our advertising. - Google Tag Manager (GTM-K5HQRJLK): We use Google Tag Manager to deploy and manage tracking tags on the Site. It does not collect personal information directly but enables other tags to function.
- Microsoft Clarity (nntf09vth2): We use Microsoft Clarity to generate session recordings, heatmaps, and aggregated user-behavior analytics. Clarity may collect anonymized click, scroll, and navigation data, and may set cookies to distinguish unique sessions.
- Analytics Session Cookie: The Site sets a first-party session cookie (
__vibe_sid) to associate a form submission with the same visit's page views. This cookie does not contain personal information.
5.2 Purpose: These technologies help us understand traffic patterns, measure which marketing channels drive quote requests and calls, diagnose usability issues, and improve the Site experience. They do not collect sensitive personal information such as health or financial data.
5.3 Managing Cookies: Most web browsers allow you to control or delete cookies through the browser settings. You can typically block all cookies, accept only first-party cookies, or delete existing cookies. Disabling cookies may affect some features of the Site. You may also opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings page, or limit tracking through browser privacy controls or ad-blocking extensions.
6Data Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
7Your Rights
7.1 Access, Correction, and Deletion: You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information held by us. To exercise these rights, please contact us at info@mountmasters.ca.
7.2 Opt-Out: You can opt-out of receiving marketing communications from us by following the instructions provided in the communication or by contacting us directly.
